The commitment and active participation of committee members directly benefits our business community.
Programs Committee
This committee is responsible for conceiving, steering and maintaining the Chamber’s programs. ‘Programs’ consist of, but are not limited to, any service the Chamber offers to its members. This committee works closely and coordinates with the Marketing & Communications Committee for marketing piece development related to programs, etc.
Programs include:
a) Member-to-Member incentives/discounts
b) Advertising Directory
c) Speaker Series
The Programs Committee reports monthly to the Board of Directors.
Events Committee
This committee is responsible for conceptualizing and facilitating the Chamber’s core member and fund raising events throughout the year. The core committee may solicit the event-specific expertise of other Chamber members and may strike sub-committees, with at least one member being from the Events Committee. This committee works closely and coordinates with the Marketing & Communication Committee in implementing marketing pieces related to events.
Events include:
a) Mix and Mingles
b) Other Networking events (Morning Business Breaks, etc.)
c) Business Achievement Awards
d) Annual Caledon Home Show
The Events Committee meets according to a schedule of necessity and reports (at a minimum of) monthly to the Board of Directors.
Advocacy/Policy Committee
This committee’s mandate is to facilitate round-table discussions to develop and provide policy advice to the Board of Directors on government policy matters that impacts the Caledon business community or that requires the Caledon Chamber to provide policy input to all levels of government by:
a) Researching issues which directly affect the Caledon business community
b) Identifying areas where the Board of Directors should take a position to further the interests of the Caledon business community
Events include:
a) Delegating Municipal/Regional Council
b) Candidate Debates
The Advocacy/Policy Committee meets monthly and reports to the Board of Directors each month.
Marketing & Communication Committee
This committee is responsible for the overall marketing direction and branding course of the Chamber. Its objectives are to discuss and implement best practices for conveying consistent branding of the organization in ways that increase its recognition in the community. The mandate of this committee is also to manage the messaging of the Chamber to ensure consistency.
The Marketing & Communication Committee meets bi-monthly and reports to the Board of Directors.
Membership Development Committee
This committee is responsible for discussing, suggesting and implementing methods of developing, increasing and maintaining membership in the Chamber. This committee works closely and coordinates with the Marketing & Communication Committee in implementing marketing pieces related to membership drives, etc.
The Membership Development Committee reports to the Board of Directors.
