COPE Service Dogs are raised and trained to primarily support life partners with mobility disabilities. Uniquely, our dogs are trained in as many as 90 different commands by high school students in the classroom, supervised by professional COPE trainers. All the students have their own personal challenges. During Canines in the Classroom, students learn valuable life skills while earning high school credits. In our Reading Buddy program, student/dog teams travel to elementary schools to help motivate young students to read. Student trainers take pride in the role they play in enhancing the lives of people with disabilities, who are the future Life Partners of COPE Service dogs-in-training.
